Saint Paul carnival toasts local brewers

The 5th annual Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival is taking place in Saint Paul this January.

Over 150 breweries from the area as well as national companies will be providing samples of their product during the afternoon and evening. The event will also feature live performances from bands such as Valley Meadows, Bigtree Bonsai and the Sims on the Big Wood Brewery Stage. There will also be gourmet food for sale from carts and trucks, a homebrew contest, outdoor games and a silent disco.

Other events taking place during the carnival will be Winchfest for snowboarders at Boubon County Snowpark and an attempt to break the world’s record for the largest snowball fight.

Organizers are still looking for volunteers to help ensure the event runs well.

While many people hid away during the winter months, many people who live there look forward to taking part in many outdoor activities such as this carnival. It will likely attract visitors from nearby communities such as Burnsville. Local companies are often asked to help advertise such events by providing poster and flyer printing services.

The Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival is being held at the Minnesota State Fairground on January 25 from 3:30 – 7:30 PM. This is an event that is limited to those aged 21 and over. Admission is $35 in advance or $50 at the gate; designated drivers only pay $10. All guests will receive a souvenir glass with which to enjoy samples.
