Ribbon cutting ceremony is great Credit to Davenport residents

Later this month, the public is invited to attend the Credit Island Bridge Ribbon Cutting ceremony with the Mayor and other official dignitaries. It marks the opening of New Credit Island Bridge for pedestrian and bicycle traffic, so the public can enjoy the new recreation and parks amenities.

This new bridge opening ceremony connects the community to the Credit Island Park. This park features 420 acres of land in the southwest part of Davenport and runs along the mighty Mississippi River. Inside the park is a variety of fields suitable for several sports, such as golf, baseball, basketball, and soccer.

Credit Island Park also features perfect areas for hiking, walking, and biking, and has a public boat ramp so residents can enjoy boating and fishing. There are public restrooms, a view of the river, and an eagle-watching point, plus a fantastic playground for the children. For the opening ceremony, guests are invited to bring a picnic basket and use the facility’s picnic shelter and tables.

Poster printing and flyer printing were probably used to advertise and promote this exciting ceremony to people within the community. There is no charge to attend and all are welcome to come out and have a great day.

The Credit Island Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is occurring on Monday, October 22, beginning at 10:00 am at the Credit Island Park in Davenport, Iowa.
