Chefs to find out what’s cooking in Davenport

June 11, 2013 by

The Bix Bistro Cooking Class has arrived just in time for summer and will feature some lighter and fresher recipes that can be used by guests to prepare some outstanding summer dishes for family outings and gatherings.

The class is limited to 35 guests, meaning that early registration is recommended by the organizers. Brochure printing, postcard printing, and banner printing may have been used to promote this cooking class to people in this region.

It will feature a special sauté class with Chef Kevin Nape, as well as a wine pairing session provided by Abraham Blair. Guests will learn about fresher ways to make meals while watching the chefs make four very distinct and different sauté dishes, consisting of seafood, pork, beef, and vegetarian foods. All the prepared dishes will be available for the audience to test.

Participants will have the chance to help out with the salad portion of the menu and will be supplied with the recipes to try at home. Guests will also be able to try out some special cocktails and the evening event will finish up with a dessert, key-lime pie, for everyone to enjoy.

The cost of this cooking class is $65 per person. The Bix Bistro Cooking Class will be happening next Tuesday, June 18, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Bix Bistro, located inside the Hotel Blackhawk, at 200 E. 3rd Street in Davenport, Iowa.
