Earth Day Indiana Festival in 22nd year

April 6, 2012 by

On Saturday, April 28th, the Earth Day Indiana Festival will take place at the White River State Park located at 801 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. This event will begin at 11am.

This event is a rain or shine event, as children’s activities and vendor exhibitions are occurring under a large tent. This is the event’s 22nd year and it is a family oriented event that, for the most part, happens outdoors. This event combines the provision of information with a fun and festive entertainment lineup. Visitors are invited to bring the family dog, walking shoes, and their bikes. Exhibitors at this event are plentiful and visitors are invited to meet, share ideas, and view the new products the vendors are offering this year.

There are a number of special activities planned for the children in the children’s tent. These activities are being sponsored by the Industrial Operators Association, Hoosier Energy, and the special people from Animalia. This year, 100 children will be offered the opportunity to build their own birdfeeder that they can hang up at home afterwards. This activity is sponsored by the Indiana Wildlife Federation. Besides bird house building, there will be a number of games, prizes, draws, and other activities for children and adults. There will be live music, crafts, entertainment, an alternative fuel display, food vendors and much more.

Flyer printing for this event may have occurred as the organizers are ready to roll and there will likely be poster printing and banner printing around the city in the lead up to the event. There is no admission for this event. For additional information, visit the Earth Day Indiana Festival website, or call 317-767-3672.
