O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce helps business

The O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce calls themselves “the voice of business.” Every business owner in the area should be a member of the Chamber of Commerce if they want their business to have easier access to government and to have a group that advocates for them. Also, a national poll has concluded that:

“consumers are 63 percent more likely to buy from a Chamber member.”

Individual membership is $85 and there are various membership schedules depending on the type and size of business.

The Chamber of Commerce holds several yearly events for members such as the annual awards banquet and a golf tournament. In addition, they hold several networking events throughout the year. Business owners in Shiloh who plan to attend these meeting should arrange for extra business card printing.

Business over Breakfast meets weekly from 7:30-8:30 at the Public Safety Facility in O’Fallon. The meeting consists of a kickstart speaker, an introduction of a business, and an introduction to a new Chamber member.

Member Luncheons are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. The event is hosted at a Chamber member’s restaurant and features a guest speaker.

Business After Hours is hosted by various Chamber members on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. This is a purely social networking event where food and beverages are served.

It is important that business owners constantly keep in touch with one another; a lot of business is done over breakfast and lunch. Members also get to know each other’s business and are more than willing to refer people to another’s company if they know that person personally.
