Health fair to provide free screenings

March 26, 2014 by

The 11th annual Sportsplex Family Health Fair is taking place in a month’s time in Orland Park.

This free event will feature something for the entire family. For the adults, there will be free health tests such as blood pressure screening and cholesterol levels. Those who are interested can receive nutritional counseling or take part in an aerobics class. In addition, they can also get their flexibility tested or have an injury screening.

For children, there will be face painting, healthy snacks, balloons, and the Dino Jump. The Sportsplex T-Rex may also make an appearance.

Local health-related organizations and companies are also expected to be on hand to distribute information about their programs, services, and products.

Visitors should come away with a better understanding of their own health and may discover ways in which they and their families can begin to live healthier lifestyles.

Exhibitors who do plan to participate in the fair will no doubt be handing out printed materials to those residents of Orland Park who stop by their booths. Such materials are often provided by local stationery printers at a reasonable cost to their clients.

The Sportsplex Family Health Fair is being held at the Orland Park Sportsplex on April 26 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, and attendance is free. To find out more about the event, call 708-645-7529.
