Rockford to see its fair share of fairs

Two events in particular are likely to be of great interest to those in the Rockford area this June, especially those who want to make the most of the warmer weather by spending time outdoors.

The Garden Fair at Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden is taking place over three days this June. This popular event usually draws approximately 5,000 visitors annually. There will be over 80 exhibitors selling gardens supplies, flowers, plants, and garden accessories. Local community organizations will also be providing information booths, which can be rented from $225 to $575 or from $100 to $150 for non-profit organizations. There should be something at this show to appeal to everyone in the family, especially those who are interested in gardening.

After that, the Artsy art fair will feature over 50 arts and crafts vendors. There will also be artist demonstrations and musical entertainment. Vendors can register for a 10×10 space for $50.

No doubt both of these events will attract people from all over the area, including Loves Park. Those taking part will likely be working with their local printing companies to prepare their booths for these festivals. This might include investing in services like sign and banner printing.

The Garden Fair will take place from June 7 – 9. Admission for all three days is $5 in advance or $8 at the door, although members of the Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden are admitted free. For more information, contact Amy Johl at 815-965-8146.

Artsy will be held at Edgebrook Shops on June 15 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Admission is free. Call 815-398-8957 for more information.
