Loves Park fundraiser to support food security for local families

October 12, 2018 by

Food insecurity is an issue that can be faced by many families, and a Loves Park area evening will offer those in need a helping hand.

This year will be the ninth for the annual Helping Hands Pantry Pasta Ball, and the special guest for the occasion will be comedian Pete Lee. He will keep the crowd laughing while they enjoy their meal, and there will be lots of other fun to be had as well.

Nunzio’ Italian Restaurant has lent its support to the occasion, and it will be providing a dinner of Italian favorites for the guests to savor. While they eat, they can mingle and take in the show, knowing they have done a good turn for the less fortunate in their area. Local stationery printers can craft postcards and other direct mail items that can make the public aware that this sort of function is taking place.

The community has been generous in support of the fundraiser, and there are over 100 items that will be up for bids in the silent auction included in the plans for the evening. Raffles have also been organized, and any area businesses or individuals wishing to make a financial donation or contribute a gift in kind to the event have been asked to contact 815-980-0208.

The doors for this annual fundraiser are set to open at 5:30 pm on November 3. The venue for the festivities will be located at 1601 West Lane Road.
