No reasons to be lazy in Lansing next month

For those who find themselves kicking their heels this June, there are three events coming up in Lansing that should appeal to almost everyone in the community.

The annual block party to raise funds for the Lansing Public Library will be taking place on the first Friday of June. The party will feature plenty of food and games for people of all ages. Later next month, on June 28, the Friends of the Lansing Library will be holding a fundraiser. The night will feature appetizers, wine tastings, beer, raffle baskets, and musical entertainment.

Car Cruise Nights takes place once a month in Lansing from June through August. All those in the area who own classic cars or hot rods are welcome to participate in a cruise down Ridge Road. There will be food and drink concessions, business vendors, and lots of cars to enjoy.

Lansing printing companies have likely been called upon to provide services such as flyer printing to help advertise these community events.

The annual block party for Lansing Public Library will take place on June 7 on the lawn of the library from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Tickets for the Friends of the Lansing Library fundraiser, held in the library itself, are $20 per person. Call 708-474-2447 for more information about either event.

Sandwiched between the two events, Car Cruise Night will take place on June 8 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Contact Hank or Barbara Vlietstra at 708-474-1377 for more information.
