February 16, 2012 by

The Chicago Women’s Conference will take place at South Suburban College on March 9. Tickets are $15 in advance and $25 at the door; a continental breakfast is included in the price.

The keynote speaker for the event will be Sarah Kustok of Comcast Sportsnet Chicago. The day will consist of seminars and panel discussions relating to women. There will also be such vendors providing such products and services as hair care, clothing, cooking utensils, financial services, community services such as the YWCA and women’s shelters and cosmetic services such as Mary Kay.

Some of the seminars will include:

• Five secrets to setting big, bold goals and achieving them – Monique Caradine
• Image and time: making a commitment to your first impression – Doyle Sims
• Sanity and sensibility for everyday living – Tina Huber
• Can anyone hear me? Blogging for business-Rebecca Palumbo

There will also be a health panel moderated by Sandy Bien and a panel entitled “Turning passions into profits” moderated by Blevian Moore.

The Chicago Women’s Conference will be a good networking opportunity for those women who are either starting their own business or looking to growing their business. Business women from all over the area, including Lansing will be making their way to this conference. Arranging for business card printing in advance will ensure that you will have a card to hand out to everyone you meet. Growing your network amongst other women business owners will ensure you have people who will understand the unique challenges women in business often face.
