Enjoy some free cupcakes and couture

February 22, 2012 by

The Cupcakes and Couture event will take place at Trendenzas, Inc. on March 22 from 7-9 pm. The event is partly to launch Trendenzas Home Parties and to raise awareness of and items for the Glass Slipper Project.

The evening will consist of lots of sweet treats, shopping opportunities and giveaways. There will also be an unveiling of the 2012 Spring/Summer Trendenza Collection. Those who plan to attend are asked to bring some gently-used jewelry or fashion accessories to donate to the Glass Slipper Project. Those who donate an item will receive a 5% discount on any merchandise they buy at this event. Trend setters from all around the area including Hoffman Estates will want to attend to learn about how they can hold home parties of their own. Printing companies will no doubt be helping to create decorations such as banners for this event, as well as providing brochures or flyers with information about the Glass Slipper Project.

The Glass Slipper Project was begun in 199. The program gives away free new and gently-used prom dresses and accessories to underprivileged high school juniors and seniors in Chicagoland. The organization has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

While it might not seem important, most young girls want to be able to attend their high school proms. Sadly, many cannot afford to dress the way they want to. That is where the Glass Slipper Project can help. Their volunteers seek out donations of dresses, shoes, jewelry, makeup and purses; they also accept cash donations.
