Evanston to get a pizza the action

October 3, 2013 by

Pizza Fest is on its way to the area next week, and is an all-you-can-eat benefit that challenges people to come out and eat as much of the Italian treat as they can for a good cause. Banner printing may have been used to advertise and promote this unique festival to people in this community, as well as people living in the surrounding regions.

This festival is being presented by the Evanston Township High School (ETHS) Summer Sports Camp and the Kiwanis Foundation, with the benefits raised from this event going towards the ETHS ‘Kits to Be’ program. Tickets for the event can be purchased through any Kiwanis Club member.

The Kiwanis Club in this community awards more than $10,000 annual in grants to community organizations serving children, or those that have programs dedicated to youngsters in Evanston. Some of the groups that benefit through Kiwanis grants in this community include the Evanston 150, Evanston Boys and Girls Basketball, Evanston Youth Baseball, Grandmother Park, and the Shore Community Services.

Tickets cost $15 per adult and $6 per child in advance, although a $2 service charge will be added for those purchasing tickets at the door. The Pizza Fest will take place on Tuesday, October 8, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Girodano’s Pizza located at 1527 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. To find out more about this event, please visit the City of Evanston website or call Jim Wolinski at 847-424-9518, or the ETHS Athletics department at 847-424-7370.
