Crystal Lake folks to get on their bikes

June 21, 2013 by

This weekend’s ‘Bike with your Neighbor Scavenger Hunt’ is a great chance for all family members to come out and enjoy doing some activities with neighbors and friends.

During the registration and set-up period, a safety educational discussion will be held to ensure there are no serious accidents along the way, and to promote safe biking. Poster printing and flyer printing, as well as other printing services, were most likely used to promote this fun activity to people in this region.

This is a green event designed to promote the people in this area to become bicycle friendly and has been sponsored by the Clean Air Counts Committee. During this event, participating cyclists will follow clues that will guide them around the community of Crystal Lake. Some of the clues will take the cyclists to areas that remain undiscovered by most using a selection of the city’s paths and trails. Bikers participating in this event can ride as a team or solo, are advised that helmets must be worn, and can rest assured that there will be plenty of water along the way. A portion of this event will be educational and there will be plenty of food that can be purchased, as well as entertainment and prizes.

This is a free scavenger hunt and everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the afternoon. It will be happening on Sunday, June 23, starting with registration at 12:00 pm at Crystal Lake’s Main Beach located at 300 Lakeshore Drive in Crystal Lake, Illinois. To learn more about this hunt, please visit the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce website or call the office during business hours.
