Ballet on the Crystal Lake cards

December 20, 2013 by

The Nutcracker Ballet, a seasonal favorite, is being presented by the Berkshire Ballet Theatre and provides the family the chance to come out and enjoy Tchaikovsky’s most beloved music ballet performance. Appealling to the spirit of this time of year, brochure and flyer printing may have been used to share the performance information with people from this community and the surrounding regions.

During this show, there will be lavish costumes, emotional dancing, and some unforgettable music as the story unfolds. The setting is Christmas Eve with family and friends gathering in the parlor decorating a stunning Christmas tree. After the tree is decorated, the children are brought in and stand gazing at the sparking wonder filled with decorations and lit candles. The children’s presents are handed out and a mysterious man enters the festivities. He is Clara’s godfather and a talented toymaker who brings gifts for all the children. Four real-to-life dolls dance and delight everyone who is there. He then produces the nutcracker doll, which totally fascinates Clara, although her brother Fritz breaks it, and her heart along with it.

Tickets for this performance range between $20 and $26 depending on the seats selected. The Nutcracker Ballet will be performed on Saturday, December 21 at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and on Sunday, December 22 at 3:00 pm at the Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
