8th Annual Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival

From Friday, June 8th until Sunday, June 10th, the 8th Annual Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival will take place at 66425 St, Highway Indiana 19, in Wakarusa, Indiana, and is just a few miles down the road from Champaign, Illinois. This festival begins at 10:00 am each day.

The Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival is being hosted by the Indiana Arts Commission. The Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival is a not-for-profit organization and all donations made to the festival are tax deductible. This festival started in 2005 and has continued to grow and build since is conception. This festival was designed to promote and preserve traditional and authentic “American” bluegrass music. On Friday afternoon there will be an educational session with advance registration required. Friday evening a Free open bluegrass jam will take place. Saturday will feature a stage performance with an admission fee. There will be six bands each performing 55 minute sets. To preview other events, please visit the Bluegrass Festival’s website. Due to Memorial Day, all veterans will be invited on stage to be recognized. There is primitive camping available during the weekend, and food and beverage vendors throughout the weekend. No guns or alcohol allowed on festival grounds.

Poster printing, flyer printing, and other printing services may have been used to advertise and promote this event to the public. The open jams have no admission charges, but to attend the stage show there is a fee of $12 per person, in advance, or $15 per person at the gate.
