Middletown residents invited to learn some new dance moves

February 18, 2018 by

Ballroom style dancing can be a fun way to move and get exercise, and Middletown residents are invited to kick up their heels with other newbies while they learn some steps.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the Beginner Ballroom Dance lessons that are being offered by Vinnies Jump and Jive. People can come with a partner or on their own, and they will be taught using no-pressure methods that the teacher hopes will also be fun.

The lessons will focus on the foxtrot, and during the first set, the participants will learn the basic steps, as well as ballroom etiquette. They will also receive tips about how to follow and use the music to guide their moves. Those who plan on attending are asked to wear comfortable footwear, preferably shoes that have soles made from suede or leather. They can choose to pay for each class individually, and a discount will be offered for anyone who pays for the whole month. A printer will be able to provide a variety of promotional products that can market an activity like this to the community.

The foxtrot lessons will begin on March 1, getting underway at 7:30 pm. They will be taught by Natalie Lindstrom, and anyone who is interested in learning more about the offer can do so by visiting the Downtown Middletown website.
