Middletown’s Wadswoth Mansion will be hosting a special event to bid goodbye to 2016 and welcome 2017 in high style.

The Long Hill Estate Authority and the Friends of Long Hill Estate have organized their 18th Annual New Year’s Day Open House. To mark the start of 2017, there will be docent-led tours of the mansion, rides in a horse drawn carriage, a live music concert featuring Horizon Blue, and much more.

Those who come out can explore the grounds and trails, which will be open for the day, and light refreshments will be served while the visitors enjoy the music and other activities. Newsletter printing can be used by historic properties such as this to keep people in the local area abreast of any special events that it will be holding, which can help to ensure they are a success.

According to the event’s organizers, it is suitable for people of all ages. They hope that it can help guests learn more about the facility and what it has to offer the community.

The Wadsworth Mansion, which is located at 421 Wadsworth Street in Middletown, will be hosting its New Year’s Open House on January 1. It will run from 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm, and all are welcome to attend. More information about the house, its grounds, and the organizations that support it are available on its website.
