The Peep show returns to Westminster for another year

February 27, 2013 by

It is almost time again for the popular Peep Show in Westminster. It is a show in which creative people create marshmallow masterpieces using those cute little multicolored treats we see in the stores at Easter time.

Local artists, businesses, community groups, and others in the community pay $10 to build their own masterpiece to share with visitors. Visitors purchase vote tickets so they can vote on their favorites and the winners receive prizes. Those wishing to create a Peep masterpiece have until March 15 to register for the show; creations must be no larger than 24 inches and video entries of over three minutes are also accepted.

Refreshments and Peep-related souvenirs will be available for purchase during the show. Judging from the entries from last year, visitors should be prepared to be dazzled by what designers can create using Peeps. Many of the Peep sculptures will also be offered for sale.

This would be an excellent morale building exercise for businesses and non-profit organizations to enjoy. They might even hold their own competitions within their workplace. The winners could receive a certificate suitable for framing which might be designed and printed by Westminster printing companies. It will also bring attention to those businesses or organizations.

The 6th annual Peep Show will take place at the Carroll Arts Center from March 28 – April 7 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm each day. All proceeds from the vote ticket sales benefit the Carroll Arts Center, and admission is free. For more information, contact Sandy Oxx at 410-848-7272.
