A worthwhile cause aided by tonight’s festivities

Even the biggest Christmas humbug must enjoy looking a decorated trees and other Christmas decorations. It brings back the innocence of childhood, when the bright lights caused excitement and anticipation. Hoping to capture some of this sensation, tonight’s ‘Festival of Trees’ features several decorated Christmas trees and decorations which will be auctioned off to raise money for March of Dimes.

The theme of this year’s gala is ‘A Black and White Affair’ and the trees and decor will reflect that. Guest will be treated to a cocktail buffet and a champagne reception. The auction will feature not only trees and decorations but dinner packages, trips, jewelry, and art, with many of the auction items likely to have been donated by local businesses. It is shaping up to be a great way to get into the holiday spirit and to raise money for a very worthwhile cause that benefits so many people. Sponsorships from $500 to $5,000 are also available.

Organizers are no doubt working with Salisbury printing companies to inform the community of this evening’s event through products such as flyers. A flyer campaign is one of the most successful types of marketing campaigns, yet is relatively inexpensive.

The 2012 Festival of Trees Gala and Auction will take place at the Twilley Center this evening, November 17, beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets, which must be purchased in advance, are $75, although extra cash donations are also welcomed. Proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes. For more information, call 443-754-7042.
