Annual ball raises funds for Multiple Sclerosis

October 12, 2013 by

The 7th annual Multiple Sclerosis Fantasy Ball will be held in Glen Burnie towards the end of the month.

The event is hosted by Team Wench, Inc. which was originally organized by a group of people who met at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. The organization has raised over $286,000 for various charities since its inception in 2000, and the Fantasy Ball is just one of the fundraising events it holds throughout the year.

The evening will feature live entertainment from artists such as the City Capital Jedi Knights and Platform, dancing, dinner, and an open bar. There will also be various raffles and contests, including those being held for table decorating, the best costumes, and the most creative masks. Guests are asked to come in costume and a limited number of extra masks will be available at the venue.

Local companies are encouraged to donate items for the raffles and contest prizes. This will probably appeal to companies from all over the area, including nearby Laurel, who will no doubt want to let their customers know that they are taking part in the event by the way of flyers provided by local printing companies. These can then be inserted in planned company mailings.

The Multiple Sclerosis Fantasy Ball will be held at Michael’s Eighth Avenue on October 26 from 8:00 pm until after midnight. Tickets are $60 in advance or $75 at the door. For more information about the ball, visit the event website.
