Vineyard goes back to the 50s

September 28, 2012 by

‘Groovin’ at the Vineyard’ will soon offer some weekend fun at Boordy’s Vineyard, Upper Barn in Hydes, with proceeds going to the Glen Meadows Foundation. The event will be catered by the Sunshine Grille and will feature plenty of Boordy’s wine.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Gene Vincentt and the Cadillac Cruisers and there will be room for dancing. This event will be a great way to help raise money for area seniors who rely on the Glen Meadows Retirement Community, many of whom will fondly remember the music of the 50s. It will also be an opportunity for those in the area, including Hunt Valley, who are interested in providing services or volunteering to network with one another. While this is a social event, many entrepreneurs who plan to attend would be wise to arrange for business card printing. There is always enough time to exchange business cards, no matter what the occasion, and a good opportunity to do so can often come up when least expected.

The Glen Meadows Foundation raises funds for the not-for-profit Glen Meadows Retirement Community, which is located in Glen Arm, Maryland. The community has several levels of care available from independent living to assisted living. The organization also provides home care services for seniors in need of them.

Tickets cost $50 for this October 6 event, which takes place from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Dress is casual and no heels are allowed on the dancefloor. For more information, call Lyn Molner at 443-987-5138.
