Come see the jungle near Glen Burnie

Eco-Adventures, a simulated rain-forest park, located just a 10 minute drive from Glen Burnie, will be having a Grand Opening Celebration this month to show off the new exhibits added to the park.

The new 4,000 square foot facility is right next door to the Severn Run Wildlife Area and offers a family-friendly, hands-on interactive nature experience for visitors of all ages. Those who come to the park can expect to experience the sights and sounds of a simulated rainforest, discover ocean flora and fauna in the underwater habitat room, and interact with animals not native to Maryland (or in some cases to North America).

The new facility will allow for space to include enrichment programs such as yoga, sleep-overs, family outdoor field trips and family fun nights to the center’s already existing nature, science, and animal conservation efforts.

The Grand Opening Celebration will include raffles, crafts, games, animal interactions, and vendors. Also presentations by National Geographic’s Dr. Brady Barr, a herpetologist and television personality (and husband of Mei Len Sanchez-Barr the Executive Director) will be given at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.

Registration is $7 at the door, or $5 in advance. Kids aged two and under get in free. Nature aficionados or conservation enthusiasts may want to have some poster printing or flyer printing done to distribute information to the community in order to encourage a good turnout.

The Grand Opening Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, January 11, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Eco-Adventures, 216 Najoles Road, Millersville, MD.
