The 8th Annual Over 50 Fair is reaching out this month to help older citizens live healthier and more vibrant lives.

The event may be touted as a health and wellness event but the organizers want to make certain everyone is aware of the number of fun events and interesting information also included. During the fair, the attendees will have the opportunity to take part in over two dozen classes.

Lessons on subjects as wide-ranging as retirement planning, astrology, and line dancing will take place. In addition, there is also the opportunity to meet various contestants from popular reality TV shows and maybe even strike up a new romance at the Singles Lounge.

Local business owners have an opportunity to meet new customers, as more food and merchandise vendors are still needed. Those participating in such fairs as this often print up flyers, presentation folders, and business forms.

The event takes place on September 17 in the ballroom at the Long Island Hilton at 598 Broadhollow Road in Melville. It will run from 10 AM to 4:30 PM and offers free valet parking at the Ballroom entrance. Admission price is $6 for advance tickets and $8 at the door. Veteran admission is free and paying adults are allowed to bring a guest free of charge as well.
