Medina County Parade of Homes underway

The Medina County Parade of Homes is happening now, and there is still time to see homes throughout the area.

There are 17 news homes in the parade this year, constructed by 15 different builders from the area. Among the models open for inspection are single-family houses as well as cluster homes, which are detached houses built very close together to maximize the green space in the development.

There is also a full development available for visitors to see, located in Hinckley Township, on the property that once house the Skyland Golf Course. Some of the houses on the tour are completely staged with furniture and accessories, while others are empty. Finally, some of the new homes are still available, while others have been sold.

John Sumodi, who is with Legacy Homes of Medina and is president of the Medina County Home Builders Association, said Medina County has everything. It is close to major metropolitan centers such as Akron and Cleveland, has good schools, and historic communities that are inviting, he explained.

The homes will be on parade one more weekend this Saturday and Sunday, from noon until 5:00 pm on both days. The event is free, and complete information is available on the event website.

Organizers of this type of event might work with a banner printing company on festive banners to decorate the homes, making them even more attractive.
