McKinney will soon be hosting a summer celebration, and the whole community is invited to come and join their friends and neighbors in this birthday party for the entire country.

The festivities will include fun and activities for all ages to enjoy. A parade with bands, floats, marchers and more will be heading down Tennessee Street and Kentucky Street, and prizes will be awarded to the top entries. The public can also visit the classic car show and view the different vehicles that will be on display. While the browse through the cars, trucks and motorcycles, they can enjoy refreshments form one of the downtown merchants.

The excitement will continue on into the evening hours when there will be food, kid’s activities, live music and much more. When dusk arrives, a professionally prepared fireworks display will light up the darkening sky. All of this is being offered free of charge courtesy of the support of the City of McKinney and Craig Ranch. Banners and other themed decorations for a community wide festival such as this can be prepared by an area printer using materials that will be suitable for use outdoors.

This Red, White and Boom celebration has been planned for McKinney on July 4th. It will be split between the downtown core and Craig Ranch, and further details have been provided on its website.
