McKinney golfers invited to help fight prostate cancer

This fall, McKinney golfers will be asked to head to the links in an event that will take a strike at one of the leading cancers in men.

The Pros4Care will see celebrities, MLB Alumni, and members of the public come together for a day of activity out on the greens. There will be lots of fun and camaraderie, and both lunch and supper will be served to the players. A local printing services company will be able to supply an assortment of branded merchandise to give out as swag during an occasion like this.

While for some golf may be the biggest attraction of the day, there will be lots more going on as well. There will be clinics and an assortment of contests, and various prizes will be raffled off. The whole event is being held in support of men who have survived prostate cancer, and a portion of the proceeds will also be utilized to help fund research into this disease. The event is being hosted by Pros4Care, and has been able to raise over $250,000 since its inaugural day in 2006.

The Stonebridge Ranch Country Club will serve as the location for the function, which has been planned for October 9. More information, as well as tickets and details for businesses that may be interested in sponsoring the occasion, can be found on its website.
