Interested parties have a chance to join the discussion about empowering women in business and government next month.

The 2018 International Women’s Day Conference is ready to take place again, and the schedule includes a variety of speakers and topics of interest to all women. The objective of the conference is to discuss ideas and opportunities to empower and support women, seek out solutions to increase entrepreneurship in women, and review how certain industries relate to women in the workforce.

The one-day event includes two panel discussions that will highlight speakers from a variety of career fields and experiences. The event is a positive gathering that is meant to celebrate the achievements of women in politics, business, and culture. It is scheduled to follow the official International Women’s Day celebrations on March 8.

The organizers are still seeking vendors from Massapequa Park and other neighboring communities, armed with relevant promotional products or services, that would like to take part in the event. The Neva Alliance website has the contact information and details about becoming a vendor or sponsor of the event.

The conference is on March 17 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at Hofstra University. Guests should go to the Student Center Building at 128 Hofstra University in Hempstead. Admission is $45 at the door and $35 in advance for individual tickets. Group tickets are $32 each. Vendor charges are $199 for an exhibition table, or $299 if they want a table and to have their organization advertised during the event.
