April 13, 2018 by

The Marlborough, Massachusetts 2018 Labor Day Favorite Parade Memory Essay Contest and Coloring Contest is currently open for submissions, with adults and children invited to enter.

For those who are interested in the essay portion of the contest, the city asks that submissions should be approximately 350 words long and describe an amazing moment from a previous Labor Day parade that made an impression on that individual. Those interested should aim to be as descriptive as possible and make sure that the paper is well-written and flows nicely. The essay chosen by the city will be featured on the MLDParade website, as well as the Marlborough Enterprise. The winner will also receive a gift card from one of the local businesses.

The Coloring Contest is open for children 10 years of age and younger. For this contest, the city asks that children produce an illustration of their most cherished Labor Day parade memory on a piece of paper measuring 8.5 by 11 inches, with the child’s name and their age on the other side.

With a gift certificate up for grabs for the winner, those who are interested in submitting a piece should email lcordischi@Marlborough-ma.gov or mail the piece to 140 Main St., 4th floor, Marlborough, MA 01752. More information about the event is available on its website next to the logo design.
