Christmas tree collection schedule announced

January 1, 2018 by

The city of Marlborough, Massachusetts has released a statement showing when and where residents will be able to drop off their Christmas trees.

Starting January 8th, Christmas trees placed on the curb will be collected. This tree collection will not affect the normal trash schedule and will, in fact, be part of an entirely separate collection procedure. Curbside collection will continue until January 19th. Trees don’t have to cut or trimmed down in order to be picked up.

For those who may not be able to dispose of their trees on the curb or who want to dispose of their trees before these dates, there will also be other locations that will be taking in unwanted trees. These drop-off locations include the Jericho parking lot on 410 Brigham Street, the Felton Conservation Area parking lot on 798 Elm Street, and the Memorial Beach parking lot on Causeway Street. Each of these locations will have special signs that will direct visitors to the designated drop-off areas.

For more information about the Christmas tree schedule, downloadable flyers can be found on the city of Marlborough’s website or interested individuals can contact the Department of Public Works by calling 508-624-6910 or emailing dpw-dispatch@marlborough-ma.gov. To see the other two locations that will be accepting Christmas tree drop-offs, visit the Marlborough Patch website.
