Wellness summit coming to Louisville

November 6, 2017 by

A millennial health and wellness summit hosted by the nonprofit association We Stand United for a Cause will be coming to Louisville, Kentucky later this month.

The Mansfield Institute for Public Policy and Social Change, which is the driving force behind We Stand United for a Cause, is dedicated to improving the lives of millennials from age 17 to 35. According to its website, it does so by hosting conversations around and focusing on areas such as health, empowerment, education, and leadership. It also works on trying to instill a desire into millennials to better their community through public policy development.

The millennial health and wellness summit will consist of four different conferences that will each be 90 minutes long. Each conference seeks to foster grassroots leadership development and will discuss topics such as meditation, chemical dependency, physical fitness, nutrition, mental health, suicide, and addiction.

The summit will be taking place this Saturday, November 11 at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage. No registration is required for those who want to attend and interested individuals can attend free of charge.
