New Louisville wine bar opens

A new wine bar known as Nouvelle recently started welcoming customers in Lousiville, Kentucky in the East Market District.

The bar, which opened on November 11, currently offers more than 40 wines by the glass for both novice and experienced wine drinkers in three, six, and nine-ounce amounts. By the bottle, the bar currently offers around 200 selections to purchase and take home, or drink at the bar. Along with wine, Nouvelle also has a full bar and a small selection of food plates for visitors.

As Nouvelle continues to grow, the owners plan to reach out to restaurants throughout the East Market District so that they will be able to offer different foods and charcuterie at their restaurant. During the spring, the owners of the wine bar are hoping to use the garden area for patio seating, where they can host educational events about wine and offer tastings.

Aaron Dawkins, Nouvelle’s wine expert, said:

“Our idea here was to just really put wine in the forefront. Whether you’re an old hat, and you can talk about the intricacies of a specific region… and this is what you’ve had, we want to have something for everyone.”

Although the bar’s website has not launched yet, more information about Nouvelle, including customer reviews, the logo design, and pictures of the restaurant, can be found on its Facebook page.
