Lucky’s Market hosting contest for charity program

October 18, 2017 by

Lucky’s Market, a healthy local grocery store located in Louisville, Kentucky, is currently running a competition that will help it choose three partners for one of its in-store charity programs.

The program for which Lucky’s Market is currently seeking partners for is known as the Bags for Change program, which gives customers a wooden dime for each reusable bag that they bring to the store each time that they shop. Each of these tokens is representative a real dime and customers will have the ability to donate this amount to a nonprofit organization that is a partner of the market. At the end of the quarter, the market doubles the amount of money raised and sends it out.

The contest will be running until this Sunday, October 22 and there are currently five finalists to choose from: Louisville Grows, Paws With Purpose, The Center for Women and Families, the Family Scholar House, and the Smoketown Family Wellness Center.

Those who are interested in participating in the contest can go to the Lucky’s Market Facebook page, find the post about the contest, and click the ‘like’ button next to the organization that they support the most.
