Pesticide applicator course being offered near Longwood

Longwood residents who apply pesticides as part of their work in the landscaping industry and who would like to obtain their license to do so may wish to make plans to register for an upcoming class.

The Limited Pesticide Applicator Review and Exams course will allow those who complete the work and pass the testing to apply herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides on the properties of their customers who request them. There will also be an exam for anyone who needs a license to apply them on business-owned land or utilize them on government property.

Those who register to participate will be sent the materials they will need to complete the training. A copy of Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices can be downloaded free of charge. The class itself will be taking place in Sanford in the UF/IFAS Extension Seminole County Auditorium, and the ticket price to participate starts at $15 for each person who registers. Certificates of completion, wallet cards and other materials for an event like this can be crafted by as an area printer using graphic design techniques.
