Yearly car show returns to Long Beach

September 5, 2017 by

The 28th annual Belmont Shore Car Show is taking place this month.

Always held on the Sunday after Labor Day, the event is presented by the Belmont Shore Business Association and the Bay City Rodders Seal Beach Car Club.

There are expected to be over 600 cars participating in this year’s show. All years are acceptable as long as they have been modified in some way. It will include classic roadsters, convertibles, low riders, and many others customizations.

Registration fees are $30 until today (September 5) and $35 on the day of the show, while ‘VIP Power Parker’ is $80 and includes early entry and prime parking spots. All participants will receive a commemorative dash plaque. T-shirts are also available for purchase and those who register in advance will get $2 off the price.

In addition to the cars, vendors will be set up along the street. They will be selling food and car-related merchandise.

Last year’s festival attracted 40,000 visitors. It is likely that flyers have been produced to advertise this event in the Long Beach area.

The Belmont Shore Car Show will be held on E. 2nd Street from Livingstone to Bay Shore on September 10 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Admission for spectators is free of charge. For the most current information, contact Mike at 562-237-1168.
