The 6th annual West Coast BBQ Classic is taking place next month in Long Beach. The competition is California-State-Certified and KCBS-Sanctioned.

Over 50 barbecue pit masters and amateur grillers will be competing for cash prizes and hoping to be named the West Coast BBQ Pitmaster Champion. The public will have the opportunity to sample all of the competitors’ food, which will include bacon, pork, and brisket.

In addition, there will be live musical performances on two stages, family-friendly games such as sack races and a watermelon-eating contest. There is also set to be line dancing and several bars.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise. Vendor booths are still available for $199 each and are 10×10-feet. Several of the vendors will be providing free giveaways to those who stop by their booths.

VIP passes are available and allow ticketholders to be admitted one hour earlier. They also come with five tasting tickets and access to the Queen Mary.

Long Beach print companies are often asked to provide their clients with promotional products to be handed out at events like this, which may include pens and note pads.

The West Coast BBQ Classic will be held at the Queen May Waterfront Events Park on May 13 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Tickets are $18 each and include five tasting tickets. Call 562-435-3511 to learn more.
