Lexington events raise funds to help

There are a couple of charity events taking place in Lexington early next month that will benefit two worthy organizations.

The first one is the 10th annual Tails and Ales event which is a fundraiser for the Lexington Humane Society. Guests will enjoy a variety of appetizers and have the opportunity to taste a number of local beers. There will also be live musical entertainment from Kenny Owens and Group Therapy.

Next is the Bowl for Kids’ Sake event hosted by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass. The theme is ‘Trip through the Decades’ and guests are encouraged to dress accordingly. Teams of four to five bowlers will be competing for prizes, with each competitor provided with shoes, a shirt, and food tickets. Each player will solicit pledges from friends and family; the goal is for each person to raise $50. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase. Split the Pot raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 each.

Lexington printing companies are often asked to help advertise these types of charity events.

Tails and Ales will be held at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort and Spa on March 3. Tickets are $55 each. Call 859-233-0044 x252 for more information.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake will take place at the Southlands Bowling Center on March 4. To register or to learn more, call 859-231-8181.
