The Scarefest convention is taking place in Lexington on the last weekend of this month. It is a celebration of science fiction, ghosts, and ghost hunters.

The convention is set to feature some of the most famous TV and movie actors of recent times, including Denise Crosby, Barry Bostwick, Robert Englund, and Kane Hodder. There will also be an appearance by the Hollywood Ghost Hunters, authors, and the Ghost Brothers.

Panel discussions will feature some of the actors, psychics and mediums giving readings, autograph signings, and picture sessions. Guests can sign up for a Ghost Brothers celebrity ghost hunt for $50. Vendors will be on hand to sell movies, books and other related merchandise.

There will also be a midnight movie showing. Sunday is Kid’s Day, and will feature a costume contest, art activities, and games such as corn hole.

This event will no doubt attract lots of science fiction and horror fans from Lexington. To advertise, event organizers sometimes work with a local poster printing company to produce an appealing poster.

Scarefest will be held at the Lexington Center and Rupp Arena from September 19 to October 1. Tickets are $20 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, and $15 on Sunday, or a three-day pass is available for $50. VIP tickets are also available.
