Care facility announces grand opening

First & Main, which operates a number of senior care centers in the region, is getting ready to celebrate the grand opening of its Lewis Center facility. Their facilities provide both memory care and assisted living to residents.

First & Main has made a deliberate effort to build facilities that feel less like “senior care” housing and more like homes. The heart of the center is something the company refers to as the Village Square – an indoor space built to resemble a retail center. Residents can leave their units and walk into the square to go shopping, have a meal, go to a movie, or have coffee at the bistro. If they want to physically go outside, they can enjoy the outdoors on a number of patios, which also serve to connect the center to the surrounding community.

There is a fitness center available with state-of-the-art equipment available; in addition, the facility uses QuietCare, a trademarked system developed by Care Innovations that determines what a resident’s behavior patterns are, and alerts caregivers if there are significant changes. Radio Frequency Wristbands enhance safety by allowing staff members to unlock residents’ doors in an emergency.

The grand opening is slated for tomorrow, May 18. With the help of a brochure printing company, those behind projects like this can create illustrated brochures that clearly show all the amenities of such a center.
