Wrapping party to benefit homeless youth

November 21, 2017 by

The 2nd annual ‘It’s a Wrap’ Holiday Block Party is taking place next month in Las Vegas, and is a fundraiser for Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY).

Volunteers are needed to sort and wrap gifts in three separate shifts. They will also make holiday cards that will be given to youth at the NPHY Drop-In Center. There will be plenty of fun activities taking place including games. There will be a coffee and hot chocolate bar and baked goods for sale.

The fundraiser for the day is the gingerbread house contest, for which the entry fee is $30 per team. The houses must be built on site and all of the ingredients will be provided, although participants can bring their own if they prefer. Each team can have no more than five people. Judges will choose the best and the top three will receive prizes. Teams have until December 8 to register.

To spread the word about this event, organizers might invest in flyer printing services from a Las Vegas printing company.

The NPHY provides help and services to homeless youth in Southern Nevada. These services include education and employment assistance and the Operation Go Home program.

The ‘It’s a Wrap’ Holiday Block Party will be held at the NPHY Drop-In Center on December 9 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For more information about this event or to volunteer to help, call 702-383-1332.
