Inaugural festival celebrates Asian culture

The Asian Culture Day festival is taking place next month in Las Vegas over four days. A presentation of the Asian Culture Alliance, the event pays tribute to official Asian Culture Day in Nevada and celebrates the cultures of over 48 countries.

There will be live performances, celebrity guests and speakers on a variety of topics. Activities will be taking place at three separate venues in the city.

The opening ceremonies will be held on May 17 beginning at 2:00PM at the Freemont Street Experience. There will be performances and keynote speakers.

The next day is the Local Business Expo, Summit and Economic Reception from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Admission to the business event is $500.

The Asian Culture Day CAN Expo and Convention is set to take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino from May 18 to 19 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM each day. Admission is $25. There will be cultural performances, live music and plenty of shopping opportunities from local vendors.

Other events include Super Life Secret Codes with Master Ted Sun at the Orleans Hotel and Casino Showroom, and a pool tournament featuring Efren Reyes.
