The Fourth of July Celebration in Largo is taking place next month, hosted by the Citizens Commission for Human Rights and the City of Largo Recycling Program.

There will be lots of free and paid activities that should appeal to every member of the family no matter their age. There will be lots of food to enjoy and plenty of family-friendly entertainment to enjoy.

There is a pie-eating contest that is free for the first 125 entrants, a T-shirt decorating activities that will cost $5, and plenty of inflatables for the kids. A wristband can be purchased for $10 that will allow unlimited time on the inflatables.

Several sponsors, or community event friends, will be showcasing their products on tables. Several non-profit organizations will also be providing information about their programs and services.

One Blood will be on hand to solicit blood donations from the public. Those who become donors will receive a free t-shirt, a free wellness checkup that will include blood pressure, and a free movie ticket.

The day will finish off with a fireworks display.

Some of the sponsors may decide to invest in promotional products such as pens and fridge magnets from Largo print companies.

The Fourth of July Celebration will be held at Largo Central Park on July 4 from 6:00 to 9:30 PM. Admission is free. Contact Christina De Voe at 727-587-6740 x5014 to get the most current information.
