Holiday lights to brighten up the park

December 2, 2016 by

It is almost that time of year when Largo residents can witness the transformation of Central Park into an illuminated holiday scene.

This year Largo’s Annual Holiday Stroll, which will also be referred to as ‘Rockin Lights Family Fun Night’, will feature a display of over a million LED holiday lights. The event is free to the public, and provides entertainment for people of all ages. There will be several attractions, but the main events will be the strolling through the park, the viewing of the lights display, and the 7:00 pm Christmas tree lighting.

At the event, guests will also have the opportunity to peruse the Holiday Craft Market. This attraction will feature the goods of over 60 local merchants, cookie decorating, children’s crafts, and holiday characters. Kids will be able to access photo ops themed around the stars of Disney’s movie ‘Frozen’. Event organizers might benefit from banners that could enhance the holiday scene. There will also be live performances, a Kids’ Craft Tent, a Holiday Chalk Fest, concessions, and a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Everyone is welcome to attend, but dogs are not allowed in the park. Parking onsite is limited, but may be purchased for $10.

It all takes place tomorrow, December 3, in Largo at 101 Central Park Drive.
