Applebee’s offers unexpected bargain

December 14, 2017 by

Applebee’s is offering a bargain that people will find delicious and refreshing, as well as saving them some money: the restaurant is selling Long Island Iced Tea for $1.

The cocktail contains tequila, gin, rum, vodka, sweet and sour mix, triple sec, and a dash of cola. The drink comes in a ten-ounce mug, and Applebee’s has named it the Dollar L.I.T.

The restaurant announced that some of its locations may use 14-ounce glasses, and if the demand is great enough and they run out of glassware, it will serve the drink in plastic cups.

The Dollar L.I.T. is not the first drink Applebee’s has offered at bargain-basement prices. A few months ago, it served the ‘Dollarita’, a margarita priced at $1.

Applebee’s has grown from a single location to a major chain with stores throughout the world. The first Applebee’s was opened by TJ and Bill Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia in 1980; it was known as ‘Applebee’s Rx for Edibles & Elixirs’. Today there are more than 2,000 outlets in the chain.

The low-priced treat is available all day, every day, throughout the month of December, 2017. In Lansdale, the Applebee’s is at 2233 Welsh Road.

Special offerings like this may bring in many people, and the location can increase the fun by working with a banner printing company to create special banners that celebrate the special and the season, and use them for decorations.
