Annual festival celebrates local almond blossoms

February 3, 2018 by

The 69th Almond Blossom Festival is taking place in Quartz Hill next month over three days.

A presentation of the Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce, the main draw is always the white and pink almond blossoms. This year’s festival will kick-off with an opening ceremony on the Friday night, which will likely feature speeches and musical entertainment. The next two days will be filled with family-friendly activities, arts and crafts, and music. Some of those who will be performing include the Joel Hatcher Band, Big Coyote, and Twist of Fate.

A big attraction will be the Music and Kids Star Search that will be held on both days, ending with one winner.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell arts and crafts and general merchandise. Vendor spaces are available for $50 for Chamber member nonprofits and $100 for nonmembers, $325 for food, and $125 or $175 for regular businesses or artisans.

To help advertise events like this to all communities in the area, such as Lancaster, organizers often invest in flyer printing services from a favorite stationery printing company.

The Almond Blossom Festival will be held at George Lane Park in Quartz Hill from March 9 to 11. Admission is free of charge. Call Susan Duncan at 661-722-4811 for more information or to become a vendor at the event.
