Next month, the city of West Palm Beach will be the location of two events dedicated to wellness.

The first of them is the Walk to End Lupus Now and Wellness Expo that will take place at the Palm Beach Zoo. This is a fundraising event for the Lupus Foundation of America’s Florida Chapter. Participants do not pay a fee to participate in the walk, but collect pledges from friends, family, and neighbors. The wellness expo will feature information from local businesses and community groups. Call 561-279-8606 to learn more.

The following week, the Kids Wellness Expo will be held at the Evernia Street YMCA presented by HealthCorps. It is aimed at middle to high school students. There are set to be guest speakers, fitness classes, and cooking demonstrations. In addition, visitors can get free health screenings, attend seminars, participate, in a raffle and take part in competitions. For more information, visit the Facebook page.

Either event is sure to attract visitors from all over the county, including some from Lake Worth. Printing companies are often asked to provide need pledge forms for walkathons.

The Walk to End Lupus Now will take place at the Palm Beach Zoo on June 5 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, and the Kids Wellness Expo will be held at the YMCA on June 11 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
