Santa set to lead Lake Worth area procession

Lake Worth residents are invited to join their Palm Beach neighbors in an event to kick off the winter holiday season.

Worth Avenue will once again be holding its tree lighting ceremony, and everyone is welcome to participate.

The occasion will open with a special parade during which the city’s Mayor, as well as special guests Santa and his Elves will be marching along Worth Avenue, greeting young and old as they go. At the end of the procession, the specially decorated tree will be lit and this will mark the start of the local holiday shopping season.

Parents who plan on bringing their children out for the evening are reminded to bring along their camera, as the kids who come out to see Santa’s arrival will also have an opportunity to sit on his throne. The whole event will be very “kid-friendly”, and the organizers of a special occasion like this can have coloring sheets and other handouts made by local stationery printers to hand out to the kids who attend the function.

Santa’s arrival on Worth Avenue has been scheduled for November 28th, and the procession will be starting out at 6:00 pm. The 40-foot-tall decorated tree will be lit at 6:29 pm. Anyone who is interested in finding out more can do so on the Worth Avenue website.
