Starting university or college can be a rite of passage for a young person, and during a Lake Worth workshop, they will be given tips about how they can get the most from the experience.

A full day of activities has been planned for the ‘College Survival 101’ seminar, and the participants will be able to enjoy learning that has also been designed to be fun. It will also give them a chance to feel more prepared for the next phase of their life, and there is no registration fee being charged.

The information provided will focus on several areas, and these include time management, career training, financial aid and financial security, and also leadership and team building. Lunch will be provided to the future students, and the event will run for a whole day, starting at 8:00 am.

Anyone who is interested in being a part of this learning opportunity is asked to register ahead of time, and they will also need to submit a completed Educational Opportunity Center application. The workshop is open to both high school juniors and seniors. Promotional pens and other swag for an occasion such as this can be designed and produced by an area printer.

July 18 has been chosen as the date for this preview of postsecondary life, and it will take place at 4200 Congress Avenue. Anyone who requires more information can find it on the planner’s Facebook page.
