Lake Worth to put its best foot forward with message class

Licensed massage therapists in Lake Worth who are interested in adding a new item to the list of services they can provide to their clients may wish to make plans now to attend an area training event.

The Academy of Ancient Reflexology’s Julie Wesling will be facilitating a Foot Reflexology CE class. Those who attend will learn how they can add these techniques to their therapeutic massage sessions without adding a great deal of physical effort to the procedure. They will also learn how they can adapt the skills taught to a variety of situations and circumstances, and how it can provide a lot of relief for those suffering from foot pain and other issues.

The students will be taught the 39 reflex locations of the feet, and also when it is safe and appropriate to add essential oils and aromatherapy into a treatment session. Each person who successfully completes the course may qualify for continuing education credits, as well as a large reflexology chart and course manual. A local print company that provides binding services can craft instructional materials like these.

This event, which will be dedicated to using the foot to help the rest of the body relax and heal, will be held in the Armoury Art center on July 22 and 23. The registration fee has been set at $325, and more details can be found on the Academy of Ancient Reflexology’s website.
