Upcoming fundraiser supports reading and learning

The Night at the Library gala event is taking place next month, raising funds for the Lafayette Library and Learning Center.

All of the evening’s activities will take place in and among the library stacks. Guests will enjoy cocktails and plenty of appetizers. They will also be able to participate in activities at creative stations and enjoy exhibits devoted to reading and learning.

There will also be two wine raffles. The 52-card wine raffle will feature over 60 bottles with a value of $50 or more each. A wine pull is set to feature bottles of wine priced $20 and over. Donations are still being accepted from local businesses and individuals.

Those who are planning to attend and those who cannot will be able to participate in an online auction. Participants register online and provide their payment information in advance.

Sponsorships are available for $500 each and include two tickets to the event. It is likely that these sponsors will be recognized at the event on a sign or banner at the event, which may be provided by a Lafayette print company.

The Night at the Opera gala will be held at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center on March 4 beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $175 each. To find out more, contact Kathy Torres at 925-283-6513 x103.
