Local parents get ready for camp season

The 6th annual Contra Costa Camp and School Fair is taking place towards the end of this month. It is presented by Bay Area Festivals.

The fair, which is one of several to take place in the area this winter and spring, is set to feature over 60 exhibitors. There will be representatives of summer camps, student enrichment programs, S.T.E.A.M and S.T.E.M. programs, pre-schools and sports organizations that will be providing the public with needed information. These exhibitors will be both local and national.

For those who are interested, there will be a free 15-minute coding workshop. In addition, the first 200 families through the door will receive a goody bag filled with information and freebies. There will also be a raffle for prizes such as camp stays and Kids Fest tickets for May.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of a canned food product that will be donated to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.

No doubt, many organizations from the Lafayette area will be on hand to provide information to the public. Many of them will likely invest in promotional products such as pens and fridge magnets.

The Contra Costa Camp and School Fair will be held at Acalanes High School on February 25 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Admission is free. Call 925-408-4014 to learn more.
